flourished script style
Rooted in classic Copperplate calligraphy and embellished with tastefully artful flourishes, this is Grace’s most requested script style.
With a “wow” factor that is more than matched by its readability, this style is a favorite.
classic script style
The script with which Grace has the most experience, classic Copperplate calligraphy is timeless and appropriate for any occasion.
modern script styles
Many modern, perhaps less formal events call for a different, more stylized and custom script. Grace Calligraphy loves complementing your invitation and vibe. For example, the envelope pictured on left set the stage for an outdoor wedding in Big Sur, California.
THE CLIENT PROCESS
How it works
-
Email grace@gracecalligraphy.com the following information:
approximate number of envelopes to be addressed
whether you want Grace’s calligraphy on both your outer & inner envelope set or outer envelopes only
date you would like the envelopes returned to you
Based on this information, Grace can check her production calendar and let you know her availability.
-
Grace needs your guest list to be in Excel/Sheets format and provided via email. She has preferred guest list templates she will send. Please note that she will write each address exactly as you have it on your list. Please spell out abbreviations, etc if you want them spelled out on your envelopes. If you have any questions regarding etiquette, please compile a list and Grace can give you her advice. Please note that Grace only pen’s the recipients’ addresses. She does not pen the return address.
-
You may choose to have your envelopes shipped directly to Grace or you may drop off to her covered front porch. Grace requests 15% extra envelopes to accommodate ink blobs, human error, and additions.
-
Grace will pen the first envelope on your list and send you a photo for review. Upon approval, Grace will proceed with addressing your envelopes.
-
Grace will let you know when your envelopes will be complete and will send you an invoice for payment. Once payment has been made, Grace will arrange a day for you to stop by her home to pick them up. Note that Grace does not ship envelopes.
-
Grace will hold on to a handful of your envelopes and will pen one round of additions/corrections. If you need more envelopes after that point, a setup fee of $50 will be assessed.
