What services do you offer?
I provide invitation calligraphy, envelope addressing, calligraphy hand engraving, leather embossing, foil embossing, and event calligraphy. I am available to travel to provide calligraphy on location.
Where are you located?
I live “over the mountain” in Birmingham, Alabama and work out of my home studio. I travel often across the Southeast and nationwide to provide calligraphy, engraving, and embossing services for clients’ events.
Do you take requests for reproducing pre-existing quotes or song lyrics for me?
I am always so incredibly flattered that someone would choose my work to adorn their walls or to give as a gift. Unfortunately, my production calendar cannot accommodate requests of this nature at this time.
ENVELOPE ADDRESSING
How soon should I book you? And how long will it take you to address my envelopes? Is a rush job an option?
Ideally, you should book me as soon as possible (even before you design your invitation). For reference, my production calendar for larger weddings often fills four to five months in advance. It's never too soon to reserve your spot!
I need one week for every 100 envelopes (or envelope sets). If you have a shorter timeline, I might be able to accommodate a rush for an additional charge depending on other items on my production calendar.
What format should my guest list be in?
Please submit your guest list in Excel. I have a preferred guest list template, and I'll happily send it to you.
NOTE - write out all abbreviations (state names, street names, etc.) I will pen EXACTLY what you include on your guest list.
What is the cost to have you address my envelopes?
Single, outer envelopes $6 / Double envelope set (inner & outer) $8 ~ Please note additional charges will apply for international addresses, opaque envelopes and metallic or custom-mixed inks.

What onsite services do you offer?
Engraving - I use a high speed drill to permanently carve my lettering into hard surfaces including glass, metal, ceramic, acrylic, coated metal (like Yetis, Owalas, etc.). My drill is battery-powered and portable.
Embossing/foiling - I use a heated pen tool to emboss or foil lettering onto leather, faux leather, fabric, and ribbon. Embossing means that I am “burning” my lettering directly onto the surface. Foiling means that I am transferring gold or silver foil onto the surface. I have two machines - one requires power and one is battery-powered. Neither one takes up much space.
Calligraphy - I can bring my calligraphy dip pen and ink well to personalize paper goods at your event. Examples include: gift tags, thank you notes, and place cards
What is the cost to have you come to my event?
For events that are within 20 miles of zip code 35223, I charge $175 per hour with a three hour minimum. No travel costs apply.
For events that are outside of that perimeter, I am happy to discuss a rate package including travel costs. Please email grace@gracecalligraphy.com. In the last year, I have traveled to the following locations: Charleston, SC; Huntsville, AL; Nashville, TN; New York City, NY; Savannah, GA.
What kinds of events do you do?
My services are well-suited for brand activations, influencer events, product launches, corporate retreats, donor relations, awards ceremonies, trade shows, conventions, PR gifting, wedding reception favors, holiday open houses, and more.
Can you handle large events?
Absolutely! I specialize in high volume, fast paced events. I am able to scale my team to fit your needs. In addition to including more engraving artists, I also have a team of experienced event activation liaisons who help manage crowd flow, order forms, et cetera.
What kinds of things can you personalize?
Among other items, I’ve personalized: fragrance bottles, spirits (bourbon, vodka, gin, tequila, etc), wine bottles, wine glasses, martini glasses, bourbon glasses, cosmetics (compacts, mirrors, lipsticks, lipglosses), leather or faux leather luggage tags, passport covers, notebooks, Airtag holders, key chains, wallets, and handbags.
